About meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Guineans Abroad of the Republic of Guinea François Lonseny Fall
On 28 April Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov conducted negotiations with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Guineans Abroad of the Republic of Guinea François Lonseny Fall, who was in Moscow with a working visit.
The Ministers have thoroughly discussed issues of further consolidation of the Russia-Guinea cooperation with the emphasis on build-up of economic and trade links, including in light of the 3rd bilateral session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Trade Cooperation recently conducted in Conakry. A mutual aspiration to extend interaction in mining and energy fields, science field, in the sphere of preparation of Guinean staff, etc. was stated.
Sergey Lavrov and François Lonseny Fall confirmed their mutual disposition to the activation of their political dialog and constructive work in the UN and on other international arenas. The matching of positions of the two countries in their approaches to settlement of the crisis in Mali and the situation in the Sahara-Sahel region in general, as well as in other “trouble spots” of the African continent was pointed out.
