Comment of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Lukashevich due to tragic events in Boston
The terrorist act in Boston on 15 April as a result of which, according to the latest data, 3 persons died and more than 140 were injured deserved the strongest denunciation. Those who have planned this slaughterhouse crime must be held liable and be punished.
According to the preliminary information of the Russian Embassy in Washington, there are no Russian citizens among the deceased and injured persons. Our foreign institutions maintain constant contacts with US authorities of all levels and are ready to provide assistance to our nationals, if required. Employees of the General Consulate of Russia in New York were sent to Boston for that purpose.
We share the grief of loss together with near and dear ones and wish faster recovery to all the injured. If American law enforcement agencies request it, the Russian party will provide them all the required assistance in their investigation.
